Jambatan sempit dihadapan Kg Baru Site A. Banyak kemalangan telah berlaku disini.

Pig Farming Area Site A: Telah hampir 5 tahun disiapkan dan sehingga kini belum digunakan.
Arakian belum digunakan sehingga kini..apa masalahnya?

Mohd Sabri Said Fri Jul 03, 09 3:41:57 pm MYT

In crisis, Pakatan moves toward a permanent partnershipBy Shannon TeohKUALA LUMPUR, July 3 - Pakatan Rakyat (PR) is set to finally put togetherthe framework for a more structured and permanent political structure in thepartnership of PAS, PKR and DAP, which will see Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim putin place as chairman of a leadership council.A "rapid response unit" comprising key members from the three partners willalso be set up to counter political attacks with a uniformed message andmitigate the kind of gamesmanship and petty politicking which has seen thealliance rocked to its core in recent weeks. But any notion of the new leadership council being a quick-fix for the opensquabbling which broke out this week is likely to be tempered by the factthat wide ideological differences still exist in the alliance formed soonafter last year's general election. The problems PR is still facing in Penang and Kedah as well as the Umno-PASunity government talks suggest a lack of compromise so far between itsleaders. The Malaysian Insider understands that plans for a properly structuredleadership council have been tabled to the leaders of the three parties asDatuk Zaid Ibrahim, brought into PKR ostensibly as the man to do this, follows up on plans to formalise the coalition. In an earlier interview, he had told The Malaysian Insider that he wouldpursue a structure "that will try and find common positions on delicateissues and strengthen capacity building."The current proposal for the council will see Anwar as chairman with asecretary-general given authority to develop central policies which willthen require endorsement by members of the council from all three parties. However, it appears that while there would not be any objection to Anwar'schairmanship, the office of secretary-general will be a touchy issue for analliance grappling with the concept of power sharing. The Rapid Response Unit, on the other hand, will be tasked with being "thefirst line of defence," according to Dzulkefly Ahmad, a member of thecurrent informal PR joint secretariat. The Kuala Selangor MP for PAS told The Malaysian Insider that it would bemade up of technocrats "who are always on the ball and able to quickly meetto decide on the next course of action" if issues such as Kedah DAP's recentpullout of the state government occur.Provisionally, DAP information chief Tony Pua and PKR strategy directorSaifuddin Nasution will join Dzulkefly as unit members. But some leaders, requesting anonymity, expressed doubts over theeffectiveness of these measures. One said that as the hierarchy within the three political parties did notalways translate when it came to government roles, certain mentris besar orchief ministers would not accede if they felt their policies were right."If the council or unit decides on something, what is the guarantee thatsome leaders with strong personalities will follow?" the leader asked."We need a proper whip system. Then either you toe the line or you resign,"another suggested. However, both Pua and Dzulkelfy pointed out that in the end, nothingreplaces good governance."It is important to rule well and focus on core principles such asdelivering on the promises that PR has made," Pua said.

Press Statement by Lim Guan Eng in Petaling Jaya on Thursday, 2nd July 2009:
The breakdown of trust between Kedah DAP and the Kedah PAS Menteri Besar warrants a CEC meeting to endorse or oppose this withdrawal from Kedah PR
DAP expresses grave concern at the decision by the Kedah DAP to pull out from the state Pakatan Rakyat coalition caused by the failure of the PAS-led government not to give equal treatment to all Kedahans. Kedah State DAP chairman Thomas Su said the demolition of an illegal pig slaughterhouse at Kampung Berjaya and imposition of 50% bumi housing quota in the state were the cause of the withdrawal from Kedah PR.
I was informed by Thomas Su of the Kedah state committee decision yesterday. Only after receiving the official letter confirming the Kedah State Committee decision, would I call a Central Executive Committee(CEC) to make a final decision on the matter.
Pulling out of PR is a serious matter with large adverse national ramifications. For Kedah DAP to do so from the Kedah state government, signals the complete lack of communication and respect from the Kedah PAS-led government. Kedah DAP had never sought any titles or Datukships but had been unhappy with the lack of respect accorded by PAS to DAP in Kedah unlike the respect accorded to PAS in Penang.
I would normally oppose such moves personally especially when based on a single issue and IF there is still room to redress and correct the situation. However, the desperate nature of the situation and the breakdown of trust between Kedah DAP and the Kedah PAS Menteri Besar warrants a CEC meeting to endorse or oppose this withdrawal. All implications will be reviewed and studied in the final decision.
KUALA LUMPUR: DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang said the Kedah DAP’s determination to quit the state government spelled a “crisis of confidence” in Pakatan Rakyat.
He described his party’s latest dispute with Pas as the alliance’ssecond such crisis coming after senior leaders in the Islamist party proposed unity talks with Umno.Lim, the member of parliament for Ipoh Timur, said he was “shocked” by the Kedah DAP’s decision to pull out of the state Pakatan over the razing of an illegal pig abattoir in Alor Star.He said it was still too early to come to any conclusions as he had not been briefed on the complaint by state DAP chairman Thomas Su Keong
Siong.Su, however, said yesterday that an official letter had been faxed to party secretary-general Lim Guan Eng confirming the state DAP committee’s decision to leave the Pas-led state government. He said he expected the party central executive committee to meet on the matter soon.“We have to wait for the report, though I must admit there is considerable frustration that their (DAP Kedah’s) views are not taken seriously.“Undoubtedly, this will not be taken lightly. We view this situation with grave seriousness,” he said at a press conference at the Parliament lobby.Lim said he would go to Alor Star tomorrow to meet the state DAP and residents in the abattoir area for their views.Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the dispute could be resolved within Pakatan.“We will consider their (Kedah DAP’s) grouses, but I will also talk to the menteri besar,” he said at the Parliament lobby.Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak gave no indication yesterday that he would back down from his stand on the abattoir.
KUALA LUMPUR: Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang yesterday backed the move by the party’s Youth wing to invite its counterpart in Umno to engage in an academic discourse or dialogue on current issues.
He said it was a good suggestion and not at all in conflict with the party’s stand. He also said Pas allowed such discussions as it could help solveproblems affecting the two political parties.“It is something that is good and does not go against the party’s stand,”
he told reporters at the Parliament lobby.Hadi, who is Marang MP, was asked about the invitation by Pas Youth chief Nasrudin Hassan to Umno Youth to take part in a dialogue to resolve differences between them.Umno Youth welcomed the move and said it was a new development that would give an opportunity to both parties to do something good in the interestsof the people and country. Hadi said Pas would continue strengthening unity and cooperation within Pakatan Rakyat, but at the same time allowed discussions to be heldwith other parties, including Umno or other component parties in Barisan Nasional.Opposition leader and Parti Keadilan Rakyat de facto head Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he had left it to the Pas leadership to decide if the suggestion was a good idea.“I have a different interpretation of it. It’s up to them to decideif the topic is suitable for such a discussion.”Kulim Bandar Baru MP Zulkifli Nordin said the academic discourse was a good move and could more or less resolve differences among Muslims. On DAP Youth’s objection, he said it was expected of DAP becauseof its secular thinking.“They (DAP) cannot see Muslims or Malays sitting at the same table and having such a discussion because it does not benefit them at all.”Pas vice-president Salahuddin Ayub said Pakatan Rakyat was always willing and open to discuss any issue, including economic rehabilitation, education and social problems.MCA Youth chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong felt that the invitation was not an “academic discourse or dialogue”, but an ordinary discussion. He said at present the matter did not involve MCA and the party stood its ground that whatever discussion must be able to help stabilise the political situation and lessen the effects of the economic crisis.“For now, MCA is not involved in any kind of talks. But if there are any, it must be for the good of the people and the country. It doesn’t matter if the discussion is held with the opposition, as long as they aresincere. That is MCA’s stand.”
Dedah segera status '18 kes berprofil tinggi'
Wan Nordin Wan Yaacob Fri Jul 03, 09 9:41:54 am MYT
KUALA LUMPUR, 3 Julai (Hrkh) - Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) dicabar mengumumkan status kes '18 berprofil tinggi' yang pernah disiasat badan itu sebelum ini.

Demikian kata Ketua Angkatan Muda Keadilan (AMK), Shamsul Iskandar Mat Akin yang mengulas kenyataan SPRM yang bakal mendedahkan kes rasuah besar dalam masa terdekat.
Menurut Shamsul Iskandar, SPRM hingga kini masih merahsiakan status siasatan 18 tokoh politik walhal ia menyentuh kepentingan rakyat.
- mks. _ -->
KUALA LUMPUR, 3 Julai (Hrkh) - Selepas Pengarah Jabatan Pilihan Raya PAS Pusat, Dato' Ustaz Abdul Halim Abdul Rahman mendedahkan akan berlakunya pembubaran Dewan Undangan Negeri Perak, kini Menteri Besar Pakatan Rakyat Perak pula yakin dengan pendedahan itu.
Iklan

- mks. _ -->
KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 - The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will summon thetransport minister, his two predecessors and the attorney-general to testifyover the PKFZ scandal, in an investigation which could have seriouspolitical consequences for MCA and the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration. The parliamentary panel will also call Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd (KDSB) chiefexecutive officer and Barisan Nasional Backbenchers chairman Datuk SeriTiong King Sing to answer questions on the Port Klang Free Zone fiasco. All of them will be called in to testify in two weeks' time. The decision was made at today's meeting which was meant to finalise the setof questions to be asked of those who will be summoned in two weeks' time.PAC chairman Datuk Seri Azmi Khalid said although they will be called in totestify, this does not mean that they are guilty."They are not necessarily guilty, but we are calling them to be assured,"Azmi told The Malaysian Insider in Parliament today. When asked how many individuals had been called to testify, he said he wasnot sure but "quite a number" which includes senior civil servants andformer ministers. The PAC is conducting an investigation into how PKFZ's initial cost ofnearly RM2 billion could rise to RM12.5 billion because of variousdiscrepancies. The scandal first surfaced in 2007, and disclosures so far show that thefiasco straddles the tenures as transport ministers of Datuk Seri Ong TeeKeat, Datuk Seri Chan Kong Choy and Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik.It was also decided that the testimony of Datuk Gani Patail, the AG, wouldbe relevant because he was privy to government information on the scandal.Last week, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) head Datuk SeriAhmad Said Hamdan had testified before the PAC.But the head of the anti-graft agency refused to answer most questionsthrown at him over its ongoing probe.Ahmad Said stonewalled the bipartisan parliamentary committee by repeatedlyciting legal provisions which he said prevented him from giving specificanswers to questions from the lawmakers. The Malaysian Insider understands that PAC members have yet to receivecopies and appendices of the PriceWaterhouse Cooper report on PKFZ despitethe exertion of pressure on Parliament's secretariat and the transportminister to do so.The DAP's Lim Kit Siang, who has led a vocal campaign against Ong over thescandal, blasted the transport minister and accused the latter attempting toblack out incriminating and significant information from reaching thepublic.
KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 - The DAP's Lim Kit Siang today said the party'sconstant pressure on the government over the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ)scandal has been effective but the battle has yet to be won.He said the decision by the Port Klang Authority (PKA) to withold payment ofRM660 million to turnkey contractor Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd (KDSB) iswelcomed. The action by PKA's board comes in the wake of calls yesterday by the DAP'sLim Guan Eng for the Transport Ministry to stop payments to KDSB or anyother parties, until the culprits responsible for the scandal have beenarrested and charged in court."I note that the voices of DAP leaders on how the PKFZ scandal should behandled are beginning to be taken more seriously by those in authority," Limtold a press conference in Parliament today. But Lim was quick to caution Transport Minister Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat thatthe DAP's welcoming statement on the payment deferment doesn't mean Ong canrun away from his responsibility."Was this decision the result of Ong's directive? If so, I will give creditwhere credit is due but if it's not, then giving credit to him would bedoing an injustice to the PKA board," he said."But if Ong claims credit for the latest decision, he must be prepared totake full responsibility for all the other decisions of the PKA as he cannotchoose to claim credit for praiseworthy PKA decisions while disclaiming fordeplorable PKA decisions," he added.Lim also blasted Ong for accusing both him and his son of telling lies anddistorting the truth about the PKFZ issue at an MCA function yesterday. The DAP veteran said it is Ong who is running away from engaging DAP in apublic debate on the matter saying "those who run are the liars."DAP launched an all-out assault on Ong and the government on the PKFZ issuevowing not to rest until the perpetrators are punished. The party organised ceramahs and even launched a website on the issue toupdate the public on the PKFZ scandal.____

Jambatan Pulau Pinang II Terlalu Mahal, Pakatan Gesa Kos Dikaji SemulaTuesday, 30 June 2009 •

Kategori: Berita Semasa, Berita Utama, Nasional

“Saya sekali lagi pertikai kedegilan kerajaan.
KEADILAN condemns & questions high-handed action of Speaker
15 Jun 2009
Parti Keadilan Rakyat (KEADILAN) condemns the high-handed action of Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia in ejecting and suspending the newly sworn-in Bukit Gantang MP Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin and six other Pakatan Rakyat parliamentarians from the Dewan Rakyat today. The ejection of the MPs, simply for wearing black songkoks with slogans calling for the dissolution of the Perak state assembly, is another example of the determination of the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition to quash any dissenting views in the country. It also calls into question, once again, Pandikar's impartiality as speaker of parliament.
